2021 Online Conference Registration

Achieving equality isn’t easy. Offering one cost to everyone would be easier for all involved, but, in these changing times, it’s not necessarily fair. We ask for your patience in navigating the process and encourage you to contact us if you have any questions. If you do not hear back in 2 business days, please reach out again. Spam filters too often prevent us from hearing from people we most want to hear from.

Read the following and determine what fits you best.

If your active IAMAS membership lasts THROUGH Oct. 1, 2021, please register for the conference by signing into your account. You will only need to pay for the conference.

If your membership expires BEFORE Oct. 1, 2021, you will need to renew. While you can sign up for membership and the conference separately, we are also offering a bundled membership/conference option.

Log into your account here to renew.

There are two options:

1. Those with institutional support via an employer, grant, or other financial source.

2. For those with NO outside support, we offer a sliding scale.

New to IAMAS? Welcome! You can sign up for membership and the conference separately or as a bundled package also based on the above options (i.e., based on institutional support or income). If you are a graduate student in need of a scholarship, please see the blue box below.

Attn: Graduate Students

If you are a graduate student mom and/or a student who does research in the area of mothering/motherhood studies, we would love to welcome you to the IAMAS community. Whether you are seeking ways to be involved in a community of mother-scholars and maternal researchers, or are simply looking for mentoring, advice, or support as you navigate academia as a mother, IAMAS offers a variety of engagement opportunities.

We understand that budgets and funding may be especially limited for graduate students. Thus, in addition to income-based pricing, IAMAS extends service opportunities as exchange for reduced membership on membership and conference fees. Some of the ways to be involved include (but are not limited to):
• Social media publicity on upcoming conferences and events
• Hashtag campaign promoting IAMAS work
• Hosting a Voices, Visions, and Advocacy panel
• Hosting a bookclub
• Database management
• Chairing panels during the yearly conference

We respect the unique talents, interests, and time constraints that you might be negotiating and are committed to finding an equitable and valuable way for you to be involved. If you’re interested in learning more, please email Katie (kbgarner at iamas dot com).
